Hawks broadcaster Bob Rathbun was rushed to hospital after suffering an apparent medical emergency live on air Monday night.
Alongside analyst and Hawks legend Dominique Wilkins ahead of their game against the Thunder, Rathbun appeared to be in distress mid-conversation before he was taken to the back of State Farm Arena where he was treated by medical staff.
Bally Sports released a statement, confirming that Rathbun “lost consciousness” before being taken to Emory Midtown for further evaluation.
“Prior to tonight’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, play-by-play announcer Bob Rathbun briefly lost consciousness on the court,” the statement read.
“Emergency medical professionals on-site quickly treated Rathbun for dehydration. He is stable, responsive and heading to Emory Midtown for further evaluation.”
According to Atlanta Journal-Constitution reporter Lauren L. Williams, Rathbun was treated at the arena for dehydration, before being taken to the hospital.
