Shemar Moore is going to be a dad!
The “Criminal Minds” star, 52, announced that he’s having his first child in a preview clip of his Jan. 26 appearance on “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” shared Monday.
Moore said the three-year anniversary of his mother Marilyn Joan Wilson-Moore’s death is on Feb. 8 and that’s also the day he will “make one of her dreams come true” by becoming “a daddy.”
The actor danced and exclaimed he is “so excited” for fatherhood, but was unsure it was going to happen for him.
“I was worried for a while that maybe that ship had sailed kind of thing, and, you know, God had my back and things lined up. It’s going to be the best part of my life,” he said. “My life is pretty grand but I know once God does call my name, once I get this experience, I’ll be able to go to heaven whole.”

Moore later shared a video on Instagram of the gender reveal with his girlfriend, model Jesiree Dizon.
“I honestly just want whatever is healthy, happy like (Shemar) says, ’10 fingers, 10 toes,'” Dizon, 39, told the camera. “I’m just so excited for this portion of our life together, and it’s going to be amazing.”
The model is already a mother to two children from previous relationships: son Kaiden, 16, and daughter Charli, 5.
Moore said at the start of the video that he had “butterflies.” As he anxiously anticipated the gender reveal, a helicopter flew over the party and sprayed out pink dust.
The “Young and the Restless” alum proudly held up a “girl dad” t-shirt, confirming they are having a daughter. The couple’s baby will be named Frankie, Moore shared in the video.
“Mama’s smiling from Heaven … Miracles happen … Here comes the BEST part of my life,” the actor captioned the post.
